LaRose Elementary: A Grantee Success Story in Community Collaboration
January 27, 2026 Comments Off
LaRose Elementary continues to demonstrate the powerful impact that strategic partnerships can have on a school community. As one of our key feeder schools, LaRose recently showcased what is possible when organizations across the region work together to prepare students for long‑term financial success.
Through a coordinated effort between MLGW, Serve901, and Junior Achievement, more than 300 students participated in JA in a Day (JAID)—an immersive, full‑day financial literacy experience that brings real‑world concepts directly into the classroom.
Volunteers from MLGW and Serve901 joined teachers to deliver engaging lessons on budgeting, saving, and everyday economic decision‑making. Students rotated through interactive, hands-on activities designed to connect academic learning with practical financial skills, inspiring confidence and sparking curiosity about future careers and financial independence.
This initiative exemplifies the strength of collective impact—local businesses, nonprofits, and educators aligning to ensure every child has access to tools that support lifelong success.
